I have a lot of yahoo accounts from my customers, and I often face problem sending them emails. For example, the password forgotten doesnt seem to be able to send to yahoo and hotmail accounts, etc.
I read from my marketing company the following.
To improve deliverability of your iContact emails to Hotmail and MSN domains, you must become Sender ID compliant.
Sender ID compliance is a method used by Microsoft to prevent Spam and Phishing. The method ensures that a message is sent by the same sender as listed in the header. Conforming to the proper guidelines ensures delivery to addresses at Hotmail and MSN.
Note: You cannot become Sender ID compliant if you do not own your domain name. So, for example, messages sent from a Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail account cannot be compliant.
To ensure sender ID compliance, you must ask your hosting provider to add the following text to the txt section of your DNS records:
"v=spf1 mx a:[login to view URL] ip4:[login to view URL] ip4: [login to view URL] ip4:[login to view URL] ip4:[login to view URL] include:[login to view URL] ?all"
Be sure to change [login to view URL] to your actual domain name. You may need to ask for help from your IT department or web hosting company to complete this process. For help, please contact
