Summary: As a group (4 or 5 members) you must collect historical materials and/or artifacts representing Emirati culture and heritage. Such materials and artifacts may include, but are not limited to, photos, videos, oral history recordings, objects or works of art. The materials and artifacts must have a particular cultural interest or historical value for the country. You must have the right to present these documents and artifacts, and they must be original (no copyrighted material or reproductions of museum pieces). You will evaluate the cultural and historical significance of these materials and artifacts, document them, organize them in themes, and interpret them to form a cohesive collection. This collection will then be presented, either on poster or online, as if it were presented in a museum or a cultural heritage site, and its significance will be submitted to the Tourism Authority, in the context of the Emirate’s cultural tourism strategy. The interpretation of the collection should provide a story that sparks the viewers’ interest and provoke them to broaden their horizons. It should be more than mere information: it should also entertain, enlighten, and reveal a deeper meaning of the presented pieces. All information provided should be carefully selected, focused, accurate, and well-researched. The interpretation should ultimately encourage heritage preservation, and make the viewer want to learn more about the culture.
