Hi! I have experience illustrating for a children's history text book, but I have been meaning to get into children's storybook illustrations for a long time. I can draw in a variety of styles, allowing me to provide you with a unique look and feel to express your story. I aspire to be a fulltime book illustrator and I believe we can make a great team! I have 30 years of illustration and design experience and in the illustration of children's books. I am also a caricaturist of 12 years. I have had several children’s books published in the past 2 years with my illustrations. I work in many formats and styles from hand-drawn (pen & ink, watercolor, oil, acrylic, etc.) to digital formats and I understand the personal connection one has when writing these kinds of books and will work with you to bring your ideas to a visual reality. I would take your ideas and create preliminary sketches for your approval. Changes and alterations can be done at this time and once approved, I would create the final layout/illustrations and save in a print-ready format for publication. I like to be fairly compensated for my work just like everyone but don’t take my years of experience to mean expensive. I do this for the love of the art and to see others, like yourself, get their work published and am flexible in how I am paid. I can work hourly, per illustration or for a flat fee. If chosen, I will work with you for the best solution for both. My bid includes the illustrations and full rights to you. I would appreciate cover credit as illustrator.
