I have extensive experience dealing with kernel programming. The project requires us to use APis like fork and execlp which I have worked upon a lot in my current company as well as during my studies. Technique used: coordinator process would use fork and then immediately execlp so that a new process is started which would be the worker process. In worker process the sum would be computed and the result. Like this depending upon the command line arguments of the coordinator process, the worker process would be created and final sum would be computed by the worker process.
