Eigen is a C++ library. For linear algebra in C, there's the GNU Scientific Library (if you're OK with the GPL) or LAPACK (which is BSD licensed). Assuming the project is as simple as you say, I can have it finished by today or tomorrow.

please give more details about the project linking the eigen library to the project in linux is not a problem it can be done through editing the compiler options of the gcc or g++ compiler
