Apriori Algorithm Parallel MPI

Parallel implement the Apriori algorithm(finding the association rule) on cluster computing environment.

1. Running Environment: PBS/Torque.

2. Languge: C MPI

3. Input file( data) can be obtained at: [url removed, login to view]

54 atributes, 580000 instance

Minimum support: 50% (should be changeable)

Minimum confidence: 80% (should be changeable)

4. The Code should read the inputfile and output a file.

5. Since it is a large instance, memory efficiency should be considered.

6. We will run a script you write which will “submit" one or more jobs to PBS and return the answer.

7. A"sample"Makefile"demonstrating"how"to"compile"the"assignment

8. Code will be tested on 2 , 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, … and more nodes to see the speedup process. Therefore, the code should include the run time of the code in system.
