Content Writing for radio message, community event.

We are to create a 30sec + advert/announcement for the Upcoming NAIDOC week celebrations, we have limited funds and staff being non for profit, and our creative writing is limited. i have all the detail's and filled in as much as possible. our goal here is to be taken serious and produce some polished material, we will be hoping to work with a writer long term as this is our minor weakness to our small team. What does your company do? Reply: We are an Australian Aboriginal owned and run Non for profit media broadcasting and production company, we have a very small team. Our goal is to preserve and share the dying* culture of the indigenous Australian people. We are in the heart of the mining boom area, and Western Australia is filled with people trying to capitalize on that, many people come to work, Those people are usually un aware of the culture, occasionally passively racist and have no idea what’s been here for 1000s of years before they came. We try to bridge the gap between the 2 and help teach respect from both directions What is the personality you would like to convey? Reply: We are 100% community focused, we specialize in indigenous affairs and culture. We want to encourage people to attend, and participate in the upcoming NAIDOC week celebrations. caring, local, relaxed, family, welcoming, Who is your target audience? / Whom are we talking to? Reply: Our target audience is split, 50/50 indigenous people to participate (put on events) 50/50 non indigenous come and lean culture. What do they currently think? Reply: the indigenous people are usually shy and reserved about sharing their culture. but have a general sense of wanting to share it once they realize its not so hard and other love to see it. The non indigenous people are increasingly more interested, but a large section of them are completely unaware of the complex nature of aboriginal culture and activities What would you like them to think or do? Indigenous focus: We would like them to thinks is easy to participate, we would like them to think they have lots to share with the wider community, we would like them to think people are excited to see their culture. Non Indigenous focus: We would like them to consider coming to the events all around the area, particularly at least one that is close. We want the unaware to become aware this event (NAIDOC) is there to showcase the culture of the people whose land they are sharing, that its interesting, And at least is the respectful thing to do. What is the single most persuasive idea you can convey? Reply: aboriginal culture is fascinating and might be over 60,000 years old, its full of exciting traditions, ceremonies, arts, songs, dance and creation stories, Why should they believe it? Reply: Australia's Aboriginal culture probably represents the oldest surviving culture in the world, with the use of stone tool technology and painting with red ochre pigment dating back over 60,000 years Are there any mandatory items to be included?
