Hi!
I would be interested in working with you.
I’ve worked as a copyeditor and proofreader for the past 14 years in an academic setting and also as a freelancer. I have experience editing a variety of popular as well as scholarly works. Last year, for example, I edited a children's book called "Jirina's Journey."
I received a PhD in Comparative Literature from Indiana University, and published a book based on my dissertation. I taught literature and English composition at the college level for many years.
As a freelance editor, I've worked with a number of ESL authors, editing papers and theses for authors from the Middle East, Chile, Korea, Russia, New Zealand, Iran, Spain, Germany, Kenya, and Japan.
I have a sharp eye for editing and proofreading. In addition to teaching, I worked as copy editor of Clio, a scholarly journal.
I currently work as a freelance editor for Enago, an online editing service. We provide editing for ESL authors who wish to publish in English-language journals. The assignments I’ve worked on range from business to psychology to literature to history to telecommunications.
My copyediting is highly accurate, and I’m conscientious about meeting deadlines.
I’ll be glad to send you a resume on request. My rates are negotiable, depending on the level of editing required.
Thanks for considering my bid. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Leigh
