collections of refrences on variations in wedding expenses

I need a collection of references on reasons for variations in wedding expenses in different groups, written in an essay form. The essay should talk about why couples of different ages, religions, economic status, or any other grouping spend more or less on there wedding, or on specific aspects of the wedding.
