ASP.NET website hanging

We have a financial news site that is having trouble with it hanging randomly. When this happens there is not necessarily much traffic on the site but the iis goes crazy. Usually the site hangs for about 5 minutes and then comes back but some times the server needs to be restarted.
We are looking for an expert that has experience in these sorts of issues that can find and fix the problem.
