I have a software running as a RemoteApp on Window Server 2019. The RD connection broker, RD gateway and the rd web access including the licence server are installed on the same server. That server is attached to a domain on Windows 2016 where I managed all the users that connect to the application. I have published a Java application through remoteapp (note that this is a commercial application, not mine). Basically, one of the popups just goes and hides behind the parent window every time I click it. I tried the setwindowpos through Windows API, it doesn't work. Actually, it works, but the parent program still hides it, but that popup is on top of other windows like Windows Explorer etc. I did try running the 'WinExplorer' utility from Nirsoft to grab the popup and set it to be topmost. But I'm not able to do it through my VB Net program. I'm able to get the popup's class name, handle etc. Try as I might, I'm not able to bring it on top of its parent. I have applications running under RemoteApp and certificates have expired so the RDP files no longer connect. Users get a message "The digital signature of this RDP file cannot be verified". I need someone to show me how to enable VPN and RemoteApp access to a local Intranet site on a Windows 2012 R2 Standard server. I have run into difficulty assigning the root certificate (I would like to use a free one) for RDP services. I would like end-users to be able to log on from outside of the LAN, but I would also prefer to not use the RD Gateway.
