We're a not-for-profit think tank pretty well known for publishing economic data (we publish the US Consumer Confidence Index, for example) and other business-related research and information. The press reports on our work daily. We also convene senior corporate executives around the world in hundreds of private meetings to discuss today's most critical business issues. You can find us at www.conference-board.org.
Our website contains a ton of information, and we're looking to redesign it it to make it more modern, simpler and more visually appealing. We're at the very beginning of the process - simply trying to determine whether a freelancer can be helpful in the process, or whether we need to hire a firm to help us. I (I'm the CEO) think that freelancers can add real value and would like to experiment to see what we can learn from a few who might come up with intriguing high-level designs. There's an opportunity for follow-on work if we like what we see.
We'd like people to try their hand at redesigning four web pages:
1. Our overall home page ([url removed, login to view])
2. The home page' of one of our research Centers ([url removed, login to view])
3. The home page of one of our Councils ([url removed, login to view]
4. The home page of one of our conferences ([url removed, login to view])
Don't worry too much about the complex navigation scheme on the website. We know it's too complicated, and we want to improve it. If you have ideas for how to simplify it, great, pleas include them; but a powerful visual design is mostly what we're looking for.
“Very professional, quickly responded to requests for followup. Would work with him again.”
