Employer Feedback

“I found Daniel highly diligent in wanting to complete these design alteration tasks. Quality of what was produced and Accepted was 5*. The fact he didnt complete on one task D is down to a definition error accepted by us both as meaning something different. It is also important for the hirer to make sure Daniel can actually operate with all file types supplied as a .dxf caused issue. On balance with straight forward tasks i would hire again. ”

I understand what sort of changes you need made. It seems like the PCB goes into the case and you need some sort of standoffs to mount it on as well as some windows. However the drawing you provided is not dimensioned enough for me to make a new model of the PCB. Also, if you intend on injection molding this cover, you would need to redesign anyways. The way you have the clip cannot be reached with tooling. Also, this might need a bit of a prize increase. If you want to redesign the cover and want me hourly or per project, please do contact me.

ok , your point ' if you intend on injection molding this cover, ' non worries, this is prototype 3d printed and then we are redesigning and moving on from it.

I can suggest an awesome manufacturing technique for low-cost production without injection molding tooling. Its way better than your traditional FDM 3D Printing and your part will work well with little modification.

As far as the DXF goes, you dont have dimensions such as the height of the chip and the width of the three sections or the height of the angled lines maybe. All of that helps in putting together a 3D model.

To convert a Solidworks file format to a DWG file format in AutoCAD: At the command prompt, type IMPORT and press Enter. In the Import File dialog box, "Files of type" drop-down list, select "Solidworks (*.prt; *.sldprt; *.asm; *sldasm)." Find and select the Solidworks file you want to convert and click Open.

The part files are missing and without them changes can not be made. Also there are two parts in the assembly file, so advise as which one should be modified OR both of them should be modified.
