About me
I am an entrepreneur. My company has registered the trade name 'Surviving Cyber' for a new business that I am undertaking.

The Business
The ‘Surviving Cyber’ brand has been established recently to provide an educational course in cyber risk management to entrepreneurs and owners of small online businesses (2– 9 employees). Its objective is to empower them to deal with their cyber risk without getting bogged down in technical details.

Our message to business owners is that they need to plan to survive a cyber attack because one day it will happen. They need to survive. That's where the name 'Surviving Cyber 'comes from. Our cause will give them the understanding, the strategy and the tools they need to survive.

The course is designed for entrepreneurs and owners of small online businesses who want to grow their businesses but are concerned about cyber risk. During the COVID-19 pandemic, cyber risks have increased for these small businesses, as working from home has become the new norm. They don’t know where to start to get peace of mind from this growing risk.

Ultimately, they want to grow their online business with confidence in their cyber resilience, reconciling growth and security. The ‘Surviving Cyber’ course will empower them to take the actions necessary to get on top of this critical business risk and then grow their business.

Many IT companies offer cybersecurity technical products and services. Most are focused on enterprise customers. There is very little focus on small companies. This training and education course is the answer for small business owners. Our 5-week course will take these business owners from a position of relative ignorance to having a strategy to manage risks that they can implement confidently, without being an IT guru.

The Work to be done

I need a corporate logo to de designed for the business to reflect the above ideas. I also want a colour scheme. I have given an indication of some colours that I have used previously. These colours are just suggestions. They are not mandatory.

Lots of the logos are very similar and drawing on the classic image of cybersecurity i.e. technology-based images, shields, locks and other images of IT defence. My company is not providing IT services. It will sell an education course that teaches entrepreneurs how to survive an inevitable cyberattack. The emphasis is on planning for survival achieved through education and taking action before the event ever happens. The business is then equipped to survive. I am hoping to see more emphasis in the logo design on education to ensure survival of a cyber incident. I will also provide individual feedback to the logos that are closest to what I am looking for. John Byrne
