Contest Brief

We need fliers for our three boot camps coming up. The current fliers are old and in need of refreshing. All of the same information can be used but the design needs to be cleaner and clearer. We want the branding to be similar on all three fliers. This project does not require each flier to look unique from the other. We want all font to be san-serif.

The Financial Fitness Boot Camp needs to mention that participants will learn about financial planning, money management, budgeting, credit repair, and loan management. It also needs to say that the workshop will be 4 weeks long and is focused on personal finance or "taking your finances to the next level". The website empowermoney.org needs to be linked as well as a contact number: 515-697-1450. It needs to be emphasized that this is a free workshop and that it is located at the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families at 801 University Avenue Des Moines, IA 50314.

The Non-Profit Boot Camp flier needs to mention that the course is 5 weeks and includes many topics ranging from marketing, grant writing, tax and financial planning, alternative funding streams, building and managing board, and recruiting volunteers. The boot camp will also connect participating organizations with other nonprofits across the city. The eligible organizations needs to be emphasized as well. Eligible organizations include nonprofit and for profit entities, community based organizations, faith based organizations, neighborhood associations and 501(c) 3 preferred but not required. Logos required are the Doing More in the Core, Financial Empowerment Center, and Evelyn K. Davis Center logos. Location is also the Evelyn K. Davis Center.

For the Master's Business Boot Camp it needs to mention that the course is 6 weeks long and that it will help small business owners to improve their business outcomes through business workshops and one-on-one mentorship. We will be working on how to increase small business profit margins and sharpen their business practices. The core requirements are that the business has been operating in business for at least 6 consecutive months, has an established clientele base that utilizes their products and/or services, the owner has attended pre-screening interview, and completed the online application. It should be emphasized that participants can earn money while they learn.

All fliers should be in the Financial Empowerment Center’s colors which are a deep navy blue (05254a in Photoshop) and a money green (8bcf6e in Photoshop). Looking for crisp designs for each flier that are easy to read and catch the eye. The contact information for each flier and the website should be linked on each flier along with the number. The location for each boot camp is the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families and the logos of The Evelyn K. Davis, the Financial Empowerment Center and DMACC should be on each flier.
Leave space for the dates so they can be added in later as they are subject to change.
