Contest Brief
Hi everyone,
I need a Corporate Identity created for a consulting firm that specialises in corporate strategy and innovation.
The company is called Tungsten Consulting. We advise large corporate clients in corporate and business unit strategy and innovation.
I envisage the Corporate Identity including three uses - logo, business cards and a powerpoint template (no consultant can live without that), but it will need to extend to website use in time (I intend this to be a subsequent project).
The logo needs to be simple and crisp so that it can be distributed on print, digital media, black and white copies, etc. and it must retain the quality of the graphic in all these situations. (Logo cannot lose detail when it is scanned or printed black and white)
The name comes from the filament in the light bulb, created by Thomas Edison. He considered more than a thousand metals before choosing tungsten.
Tungsten's unique properties, allow it to absorb a lot of energy, and translate that energy into warm, golden light. And it's that light that provides insight and clarity.
Those two words are very important to us - insight and clarity.
I am obviously drawn to the lightbulb metaphor, but it feels a little hackneyed to be used literally. The colour yellow also appeals as it is both consistent with the quality of light from tungsten globes and because it isn't an overused colour in corporate identities. But, I am no design expert, so I am open to all suggestions.
Thanks a lot everybody and good luck!
