Contest Brief

‘A Touch of Africa’ is an INTERIOR DESIGN COMPANY, that creates a range of luxurious but affordable soft furnishings for homes, including but not limited to bedding, throws, rugs, vibrant cushions and pouffes. Distinctive designs and patterns are created in-house with complementary colours for mixing and matching. All products are hand made with contemporary African textiles to offer any living space or bedroom a luxurious make over.

The slogan for the company is "Bring Africa Home", and this should be incorporated in the logo.

The Logo needs to be simple and instantly recognisable even when inverted or mirrored. As the target market for these types of furnishings are young families, Bachelors and spinsters who have just moved into their first homes, it needs to be funky and vibrant. Ideally, the font shouldn’t be too common but still be legible when scaled down for letterheads and business cards or flyers.

Typical colours to be used are black white and orange. Most African textile designs feature subtle and vibrant colours so please look at attached products for inspiration.
