I am looking for a full-color picture of a Biblical view of Hell. If you are unaware of what the Bible says about Hell, do a search online for the King James Version. Pay close attention to descriptions like "Lake of Fire," "Pit," "Darkness" "Place of suffering, pain, wailing, gnashing of teeth, etc." The picture should be original and may be in any medium you select as long as it is in color, submitted in png, or jpg format and suitable for the cover of a public book - no nudity, or severe violence (i.e. pictures of everyone stabbed by a pitchfork type of things) - suffering representations are fine.

Eye-catching colors, multiple aspects, Biblical based, and both appealing and "scary" for a cover is needed. I will select the best picture for the project, but may reserve the right to also purchase other pictures for additional use. A good artist can likely shoot this project out within an hour or two - I would not go overboard with a art canvas, oils, or paints - unless you simply wish to do so. Remember - originality is the key to winning this - don't copy someone else's work.

Thank you all for your entries and the options you provided for this contest. Please note that I did review some and found at least one entry was published several times on the Internet. I completed Google picture searches for any entry I was interested in for this contest. Several were very close and I had to go to the team here to decide. I'm going to stress again here that if I can do a Google or Internet search and find your work published somewhere else, it is not original. I am not looking for a copy of work, or work someone else has done or what has already been published. I want original work with a Biblical view in color suitable for a cover - it's a simple project - don't overthink it, just be creative. Remember, this is a guaranteed contest - so someone will win.

  Use your imagination. I'm looking for original thought that is based on the descriptions found in the Biblical version of hell. Some have demons and the devil, while others discuss the suffering. The real focus here is "It's a really bad place and you don't want to go there". If a picture can convey that and be original, then it can win this contest.

  I have seen this written in the Garuda Purana, but I'm looking for a King James Biblical version of hell. A clear understanding of what hell is and how it can affect a person is described or illustrated by the King James Version 54 times, including the NT where Jesus illustrated it in the parable of the rich man and Lazurus. While Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world, the Garuda Purana is not the old text within the religion. It is, however, a very interesting read and breaks down over 28 potential levels or punishments in hell - so in a way it illustrates hell itself. Thank you for the input!
