Contest Brief

Nowadays there are too many operating systems and AR / VR / MR devices on the market. Different AR / VR / MR developments solve the same problems all the time because there is no embeddable, framework/platform/device-independent, open-source, IoT supported, modular AR / VR / MR engine at all.

ApertusVR creates a new abstraction layer over the hardware vendors in order to rapidly integrate the virtual and augmented reality technologies into your developments, products.

This contest is about to write an ApertusVR Plugin which:
- creates a plane primitive,
- streams IP cam image to that plane
- using OpenCV,
- and make a pull request with the source to the official GitHub repo.

Steps:
1. check out GitHub repo using this link: https://apertus.gitbook.io/vr/developers/installation/source
2. put OpenCV source code to "3rdParty/openCV" folder
3. create a new folder in "plugins" with the name "ipCamStream"
4. create the necessary C++ and CMake files (use one of the plugins for getting started)
5. link necessary OpenCV libraries and include-headers in "plugins/ipCamStream/CMakeList.txt"
6. Create a plane geometry
7. Extend Run() method which grabs IP cam image (via http url) and puts to the plane geometry.
8. Make a pull request with the newly created plugin :)
