Contest Brief

We have developed a water play system that can accommodate different types of water play stations. Some stations can be attached to the upper arms of the system (suspended in air), some to the lower arms (on the ground), and some to both the upper and lower arms. We are looking to create a symbol that designates (on literature and website) which of the attachment methods apply to these stations. For example, a tilting bucket can only be used when attached to the upper arms, so it would have the symbol to designate connection to upper arm only. Whereas, a sprinkler could be attached to both lower and upper arms, and would need to have such symbolic designation. Ideally, the symbols would not require color differentiation or contain text, should not be specific to current product shape/form, and can be made small enough and still provide quick visual clarity as to connection type. Attached is an image of the water system with some end attachments (i.e. play stations).

Please submit your symbol proposal showing all 3 scenarios: 1) attachment to upper arms (i.e. water spraying down), 2) attachment to lower arms (i.e. water spraying up), and 3) attachment to both upper or lower arms (i.e., water spraying both up and down).
